Classic J-Bass
Classic J-Bass pickups have a rich, deep voice with lots of high-end clarity and warmth. They give you enhanced treble response and narrower apertures for incisive attack and focused sound without harshness. This added treble definition vastly increases the tonal range available in active or passive instruments. Their output levels are slightly higher than similar models in the Original series.
We often hear from bass players after upgrading who say they had no idea their bass could sound so good. When you dig in, they are responsive and growly. When you pull back, they are clear and sweet. And they’ll take any slapping and popping you want to give them. The Classic Bass series is popular with progressive, jazz, gospel, and metal musicians where articulation is critical. They are sweat-proof and won’t crackle and thud when you touch them or hit them with the strings.
If you play a wide variety of music, you know you need some pro-level pickups, but you don’t want to do a big upgrade project, Classic Bass pickups are a great choice. They are passive and will work with your current electronics in most basses. Classic J-Bass pickups are built as either true single coil pickups with balanced output for each string with no worry about string spacing or as dual inline-coil pickups which are hum-cancelling even when only playing the neck or bridge pickup, so they are well suited for studio or stage. They are also available with 2 different voicings - Deep voice for more throaty growl or Bright voice for clear, sparkling highs.
Available to fit 4 string Standard and 5 string Standard and American Standard cavities in all the normal and less-normal configurations.
