When you want a pro-level pickup, but you want it as simple as possible, this is your choice. SINGULARITY pickups are true, huge, fat single coils. They have a massive voice.
Of course, we are Bartolini, and we make products for professional musicians, so you will appreciate that these pickups are fully shielded and sealed. Even though they are just a single coil, they are still pro-level. SINGULARITY pickups are rugged and durable – no exposed delicate coil wire that risks leaving you stranded on stage. The magnetic circuit projects an even, but asymmetric field to the strings which gives you a natural voice. They have a blade core design, so you don’t have to worry about string alignment. The coils are precisely wound on the old coil winders built by Bill Bartolini 40+ years ago. There are no computers involved, just old-fashioned mechanical clockwork.
We have special versions for neck (Bass, -B) and bridge (Treble, -T) positions. They are opposite polarity, so they hum-cancel with each other when both pickups are at the same volume. The field depicted in the graphic below is purple for simplicity to indicate either north or south - the neck pickup is north, and the bridge is south polarity. The bridge pickup has a higher output than the neck pickup. They are wired with shielded coax cable for maximum noise immunity even from a single coil.
