Old FAX of wiring diagram for the discontinued TEMB Buffers.

TEMB is a second-generation buffer after the TC series. They were the first voltage feedback buffers. The TEMB was a magnetic buffer. TEPB was Piezo. TE was just what we called the voltage feedback preamps at first. That’s why the active pickups often had a TE in the name, which was later just E, which was also used for tri-coils.

TEMB was a very simple buffer preamp. It had a 1X gain, like this document shows. We don’t have any design info on it.  TEMB later became TA. There were a bunch of those TA.2 was 2x gain, TA.3 was 3x gain, etc. DTA.2 was a dual buffer with 2x gain. Etc.

TEPB stayed around longer in its original form. For a long time, it was the solo piezo preamp.

Hookup for the TEMB was quite simple. Red = +9V, Black = ground, Gray = output, Yellow = input.
