Wyatt Thomas got a taste of music performance early in life at the age of 3. His father was a full-time drummer so there was always a drum kit somewhere in reach in the house. After being given his first guitar at 7 and bass guitar not long after, he knew this was the only path for him. Picking up the bass after his first one was gifted to him by a close friend and mentor, he started learning songs he could play at open jams in town and soon after, he was proficient enough to play whole shows. He started playing with bands in the local area for a living while also in high school. Wyatt slowly became a well-respected musician in Wilmington, NC and became a highly sought-after player. In 2018, he took to playing in the beach music circuit in North Myrtle Beach, SC, where he has played with beach legends such as Craig Woolard, Gary Lowder, Jim Quick and Tim Clark. Wyatt currently plays with one of the top beach bands in the Carolinas, The Tim Clark Band and is a regular call for artists who want the best on their record.

Wyatt has had great mentors since he started playing bass at 9 years old. His father, who is a full-time musician himself, helped Wyatt down his path to becoming a professional musician. Two of his biggest helps have been straight from the Godfather of Soul Himself, The James Brown Band. Leroy Harper Jr., saxophone, and Fred Thomas, bass, have helped him hone his craft and professionalism in the music industry. Wyatt was shown Bartolini products by a fellow bassist and mentor in 2019.

Wyatt currently plays bass professionally but also works in the studio as a producer and is working on his own original songs, playing and recording all instruments himself.
