Swayam’s music journey began in 2008 when he started training in classical music. He has been trained in classical vocals as well as the harmonium. He has been playing bass since 2016, and from the very beginning he has been a part of the Bartolini family, with his first bass being the Cort B5 Element with MK1pickups. He has also had the privilege of using the Ibanez BTB65 with Bartolini BH2 pickups. He uses a Fender Squier Jazz Bass as well.  Swayam has been using the Cort B5 Element the most on stage and in his covers as his primary instrument because of the versatile tone he gets from it pre-mix. He mix-masters his tracks using Reaper and uses Neural DSP for tones. He has been associated with three bands that create music in the genres of alt rock and neo psychedelia for years now and has released singles on all major streaming platforms over the past few months. He has had the opportunity to perform as a guest artist with his band at many fests and concerts too. He has also served on the judging panel for some of the      biggest college fests in India, including IIT Kharagpur’s Spring Fest and IIT Guwahati’s Alcheringa, all while being a college student.

He has been teaching bass to students in offline mode for the past few months, helping more than 20 learners. He has also been part of bass workshops conducted by some of India’s renowned bass artists. He creates content primarily on Instagram as he focuses on growing his reach there, and he plans to post on YouTube as well. He loves playing all genres, but funk and rock remain his favorites. He enjoys making bass arrangements of his favorite songs and strives to become a better musician every day. Bartolini pickups help him achieve the pre-mixed tone he aims for, which has the perfectbalance of frequency, clarity, warmth and depth, along with a very defined low end.

Swayam hopes to keep improving and aims to be known internationally for his playing. He is proud to be a part of the Bartolini family.
