After catching the music bug early, Mike picked up the bass and began his musical journey. What followed were years of music, bands, stages and experiences. Grateful for some brief touring opportunities as a bass player and as a tech.
Mike spends time these days posting bass videos on social media to help keep the creative juices flowing. He is also excited to be writing and rehearsing with his up-and-coming band, Juniper Hill, which will be launching into the world very soon.
He is also a Gallien Krueger artist. A member of the Bass Players United team.
You will notice Mike uses a variety of products including Ibanez basses, Jim Dunlop and MXR pedals, D’ddario strings, Leprechaun gold cables and Gator cases.
One thing that has never waivered for Mike through the years was the love of the bass guitar. Regardless of the style, genre or path, the bass guitar has always been the main tool of expression. He firmly believes that keeping your ears and eyes open to all kinds of different styles and genres of music will help develop your own identity and path. Stay humble and realize you can always learn something from anyone. You never know what opportunities could be just around the corner and an open mind is key.
