Hailing from Lansdale, PA, 18 year old bassist Max Kozol takes on the genuine idea of what it means to be a bedroom musician in the current technological age. Beginning his bass studies at age 6, Max has grown beyond what was expected of a musician at his age, working his way up to garner several awards. This includes the NAfME All-National Modern Band Bassist for the year of 2020. Max was always an avid member of his school’s music departments, using his talents to be accepted into Berklee College of Music in 2021.

Beyond performance, Max is both a composer and an audio engineer. He has written several pieces for different sized ensembles, as well as recorded and released several singles, with his first album planned to release in Fall of 2021.

Max plays all Ibanez bass guitars, and uses a Mark Bass amp rig to round out his tone. He uses this equipment to play in all kinds of musical settings, including with his band Q***k, which takes a modern twist on Jazz Fusion. Max and his bandmates take heavy influence from classic musicians (Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten) and modern ones too (Janek Gwizdala, Jacob Collier, Vulfpeck, Dirty Loops). All of this together rounds Max out to be the best bass player he can possibly be. Max is available for live gigs, teaching, and also recording/tracking bass.
