| I’m Draco – bass in my veins. Seventeen years ago, I picked up a four-string and refused to accept the rulebook that said “bass stays in the back.” From that moment, my mission’s been loud and clear: drag the bass out of the shadows in rock and metal, slamming it into the spotlight where it belongs. Lots of lead bass in Metal and Rock and Roll, session work in all genres I taught myself every trick my peers swore was “impossible” on bass. eight-finger tapping, sweep picking, pinch harmonics, high-gain leads, not as gimmicks, but as weapons to prove the instrument can roar louder than anyone imagined. Along the way I earned my stripes: touring, sessioning, breaking, rebuilding, and even designing my own signature model, the D.R.A.C.01. The biggest honour of my life to date, Taking the stage at Ozzy Osbourne’s memorial, arm raised, crowd electric, with a promise that I’ll help carry the torch. Bass isn’t just an instrument for me. It’s a rebellion, a revolution, and a vow I made seventeen years ago that I’m still as strong today.
