Alaric Cain operates at the intersection of heavy music and the human mind. A multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keys) with 25 years of playing, he writes, records, and produces every instrument on his solo project, Project 7701, whose debut The Awakening moves through doom, death, tech death, and shoegaze terrain. He collaborates with a group of fellow social media artists on Instagram called Rock and Metal Creators. His Bartolini-loaded instruments —Mayones BE-5, Lakland 55-94, Woodwright Revelator, Sadowsky Metroline and more to come — anchor his tone. Outside music, he works in neurology and studies psychotherapy, threading clinical insight through alchemical, counter-cultural music and art.
